JOGPrivacy Policy
This is an honest, GDPR-aware draft written to match how JOG actually works. It should get a final review by a qualified lawyer before public launch.
Who we are
JOG is a mobile app published by BEFYR AB, a company registered in Sweden ("we", "us"). For privacy questions, contact hello@befyr.com. BEFYR AB is the data controller for any personal data described below.
The short version
JOG has no accounts and no sign-up. The app runs on your device and reads Polymarket's public market data directly. In this version, JOG collects no personal data about you — no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no push notifications. We don't sell your data, because we don't collect it.
What we collect today
Nothing. JOG works entirely on your device against Polymarket's public APIs. There is no account system, no analytics or tracking SDK, no advertising identifier, and no server of ours that receives personal data about you.
Public market data
Whale trades, prices, and market details come from Polymarket's public APIs and are fetched directly by your device. This is public market information, not personal data about you, and it does not pass through us.
If we add alerts in a future version
We're building optional push alerts for a later release. They are not in this version. If and when alerts ship, turning them on would send us only the minimum needed to deliver them — a device identifier, your platform, a push notification token, and the wallet addresses you choose to follow — stored solely to send those notifications. Alerts would always be opt-in, and we will update this policy before the feature is available.
What we never do
- No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising IDs, or cross-app tracking.
- No selling or renting of personal data.
- No collection of your name, email, or payment details — JOG has no account system.
Legal bases (GDPR Article 6)
Today JOG processes no personal data, so no legal basis is engaged. If we later introduce alerts, we will rely on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time by disabling alerts) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Apple and Google — operate the app stores and the device platform you install JOG from.
- Cloudflare — serves this website.
- Polymarket — an independent public data source your device queries directly, governed by its own terms and privacy policy. JOG is not affiliated with Polymarket.
We use no analytics or advertising processors. (A push provider — Apple's APNs or Google's FCM — would be added here if and when alerts ship.)
International transfers
Because we don't collect personal data today, there are no international transfers of your personal data. This may change if we add alerts, in which case we'll update this section and rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We don't retain personal data, because we don't collect any. Public market data is not stored by us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and request portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@befyr.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Children
JOG is not directed at children and is intended for adults aged 18 or over.
Changes
If we change this policy — for example, when alerts ship — we will update this page and the date above.
